Congleton Town Council has announced its support for the East Cheshire Hospice Christmas Tree Collection.
The Town Council’s Streetscape team will be out in the community collecting and recycling Christmas trees to help raise essential funds for the Hospice’s vital services.
The official collection days are set for 11 and 12 January 2025, covering postcodes CW12, SK9, SK10, SK11, SK12, and WA16.
In addition to the weekend dates, the Streetscape team has been approached by the Hospice to provide an extra weekday collection, specifically for CW12 postcodes, which will be confirmed once registrations are complete.
This year’s collection marks a significant milestone as 2025 celebrates the 25th anniversary of this initiative. All proceeds from the collection will go directly towards supporting the Hospice’s work, ensuring quality care for patients and their families.
Ruth Burgess, Streetscape Development Manager at Congleton Town Council said:
“We’re delighted to support East Cheshire Hospice in this meaningful initiative. It’s a fantastic way for people to give back after the festive season. This milestone 25th anniversary is a testament to the community’s generosity and the Hospice’s vital role in our region. While the New Year is going to be a busy time for us, I felt it was important to prioritise this immensely important job and fit it into the team’s schedule. Together, let’s help East Cheshire Hospice celebrate 25 years of care and compassion in our community.”
