A man has been charged following an investigation by Macclesfield CID into the rape and assault of a woman in Congleton.
The incident took place in the early hours of 6 July at an address in the town.
Baretta Percival, 40, from Parnell Square, Hilary Avenue in Congleton was charged with two counts of rape, S47 assault, and two counts of assault by beating.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Magistrates today (Friday 10th July).
