As we enter 2025 many of us will be looking at making new year's resolutions, taking the start of the new year as an opportunity to make positive changes in our lives.
East Cheshire NHS Charity goes above and beyond standard government funding to make your local NHS that extra special and they couldn’t do this without the amazing support of the local community.
During 2024 the charity funded a new Wellbeing Garden as part of Congleton War Memorials 100th Anniversary, local knitters and crocheters turned their hand to make hearts as part of the end-of-life project and local resident Gena Moors hosted her second Splash of Pink Ball, bringing her fundraising for the breast cancer unit at Macclesfield Hospital to over £59,000. Additionally, staff went the extra mile dressing themselves up as trees adorned with hand crocheted forget-me-not flowers and in these outfits raced in the Macclesfield Running Festival. The Charity appreciate the support of local businesses, many of whom came together to support our NHS with donations to our wards over the festival period.
Whether it’s volunteering in your local community, tackling a new challenge or taking on one of our events, East Cheshire NHS Charity has lots of exciting opportunities to support your new years goals.
The local NHS Charity has a number of places in a range of challenge events, including Manchester 10K and applications will soon open for their 2026 London Marathon places.
If you’re a local business looking to increase your Corporate Social Responsibility, you can become a charity of the year partner, submit a team in the charities iconic pancake day race or sponsor an event or project at one of hospitals.
