Enquiries to identify the two outstanding suspects remain ongoing.
Following the incident Chief Inspector John Forshaw, of the Cheshire Police Road and Crime unit, said:
“This was another great example of teamwork from different units across the force, each of which were pivotal in securing the arrest of an individual who clearly showed no regard for the safety of members of the public.
“Following his arrest our enquiries to trace the outstanding suspects remain ongoing and I would urge anyone with any information to get in touch.
“The same goes for anyone with any video footage which may aid the investigation.”
