Newly elected Mayor of Knutsford, Cllr Colin Banks is inviting you to join the first fundraising event of his mayoral term: Walk with the Mayor on Saturday 8th June.
Walk with the Mayor starts from the Legh Arms at 12:30pm and will take a circular route out through the countryside to Ollerton and back to the Legh Arms. The walk will take approximately 3.5 hours and is followed by light refreshments at event sponsor the Legh Arms. Come rain or shine it will be a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
The walk is suitable for walkers of all abilities and follows a predominantly flat route. Walkers should have suitable footwear and bring a bottle of water – furry friends and children are welcome!
All funds raised will go to the Town Mayor’s chosen charities: Just Drop In and The Welcome. There will also be a raffle at the Legh Arms once the walk has finished. If you’re a local business who would like to donate a prize for this, please get in touch.
Cllr Colin Banks said:
“Please join me in our glorious Cheshire countryside for my first fundraiser of the Civic Year. It's for the whole community to join in, and late lunch is available at the end”
