Macclesfield Charity Celebrates National Recognition for Counselling Services

A Macclesfield-based charity dedicated to supporting young people has been congratulated by Tim Roca MP following its counselling service achieving national recognition for the quality of its support.

Just Drop-In's Counselling Service has officially achieved accreditation from the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). The achievement follows an 18-month accreditation process and recognises the charity's commitment to providing high-quality counselling services for young people across Cheshire East.

Just Drop-In is one of only 142 accredited counselling services in the United Kingdom, with approximately 114 based in England. Of those, only 30 are located in the North of England, making the achievement particularly significant for a charity based in Macclesfield. The accreditation highlights the importance of Just Drop-In's services for local young people. To the best of our knowledge, it's currently the only BACP-accredited counselling service based in Cheshire East.

Tim Roca MP has congratulated the charity on achieving this national recognition, celebrating the work of its counselling team and the difference it makes to young people in the local community.

Just Drop-In provides free counselling and wellbeing support to young people aged 11-25 across Macclesfield and Cheshire East. Its services are designed to help young people navigate challenges, improve their mental health and build confidence for the future.

The BACP accreditation recognises the quality of the charity's counselling service and its commitment to maintaining professional standards, marking an important milestone for Just Drop-In and the young people who rely on their support.

Just Drop-In is a registered charity supporting young people aged 11-25 who live in the north of Cheshire East, Macclesfield, Bollington, Wilmslow, Knutsford and Poynton. All services are free of charge.
