Detectives from Northwich Proactive CID have charged a man following a stop check in Weaverham.
At around 7.30pm on Thursday 24th October, officers stopped a BMW M135 series on the A49 in Weaverham.
During a search of the vehicle officers recovered a large quantity of cocaine and the driver of the car was arrested at the scene.
Stephen Lewis, from Leyland, Lancashire, has since been charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine)
The 33-year-old appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Saturday 26th September where he was remanded in custody.
He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 26th October.
