Appeal for information following serious collision near Congleton

Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a serious collision near Congleton.

At around 7.50pm on Thursday 24th September, police were called to an incident on the A534 Sandbach Road in Brereton.

Officers attended and found there had been a collision involving a black Citroen C4 and a Ducati motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 63-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The driver of the car, a 54-year-old man, was uninjured.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with any dashcam footage which may aid the investigation.
