After the inaugural event in 2023, Family Fest is returning to Knutsford once again this summer.
Family Fest takes place across the town’s shops, restaurants, and community spaces and sees Knutsford Town Council collaborating with local businesses to organise a day jam packed with activities.
The event takes place on Sunday 11th August.
Families can start the day gently with a yoga session with Satya Sanctuary and enjoy a pizza making session at Gusto or a family friendly lunch (with a guest appearance from Stitch!) at event sponsor Evuna on King Street. Families can then finish the day with a party at Charlton Lodge once again hosted by BunnyBusiness.
For the creatives, Knutsford Olde Sweet shop will be holding a fancy dress competition, with prizes for each entrant with the winner receiving a special prize from Hal Whittaker. There will also be art sessions hosted by Kim Smart Art at Knutsford’s historic Ruskin Rooms.
For families who would like to slow down the pace there are story time sessions at Waterstones and children’s mindfulness activities at Stable Minds. We are also hoping for an appearance from Knutsford Fire Service (outside the Lost and Found) and a police van at Minshull Street, pending any emergencies.
This year’s event also coincides with alfresco dining on Minshull Street and outside the Lost and Found with April’s Kitchen, Linden Stores, The Angel and Café on the Corner all getting involved.
Irene Sanchez of Evuna said:
“We love being part of the community in the town and are delighted to sponsor Knutsford’s second FamilyFest. We can’t wait to host las familias as well as Stitch. It is going to be a fab day!”.
Natalie Abrams of Popcat’s Music Time said:
"I am really excited for my first FamilyFest. I have been running my music and movement classes in Knutsford since January and can’t wait to see some new faces at my free taster sessions at Charlton Lodge."
Sandra Curties, Town Centre Manager said
“We are delighted to see the return of FamilyFest. Last year’s event proved extremely popular with families. We’ve pulled together a great programme with lots of variety so hopefully there is something for everyone. Just collect a flyer from local shops, the library and market hall, book any activities where required and just enjoy the atmosphere. Like everyone else we are praying for the sun to shine!”.
