Police investigating an assault in March outside a supermarket in Knutsford have re-issued their appeal for witnesses to come forward
At 1am on Sunday 10 March a 30-year-old man was walking with a group of people along Princess Street when there was a verbal altercation between him and another group of men.
One of the men attacked the victim causing him to fall backwards. At the time he was taken to Salford Royal Hospital with serious injuries to his head and was discharged a few days later.
PC Jackie Cantrell, of Macclesfield Local Policing Unit, said: “This was a serious assault with the victim receiving injuries to his head and although we have made a number of enquiries we are still appealing for witnesses to come forward.
"If you have any information which could help find the person who caused this attack please do get in touch.
“Have a look at your dashcam footage from around that time. Do you recall seeing a group of people on or near to Princess Street? Do come forward with any information – no matter how small as it could really help our investigation.”
