Detectives investigating an assault against a member of rail staff, on a train near Alderley Edge station, are appealing for further information.
At 10.40am on Monday 13 June, a train guard challenged a young man on the train over his ticket. The young man began to make violent threats towards him, before punching him in the face causing a cut on his eyelid.
The young man is described as white, around 16-20 years old, with dark brown hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing grey joggers, a dark green jacket, and black trainers.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident to assist their enquiries.
